This kit recreates an aircraft used to support anti-air training for naval fleets!
The U-36A is a multi-purpose aircraft used for various roles, including electronic warfare (such as chaff dispersal), target towing, training evaluation with cameras, and simulating anti-ship attacks. Six of these aircraft were acquired by the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force starting in 1987 and were deployed to the 81st Air Squadron at Iwakuni Air Base.
The kit includes resin parts (carried over from previous versions) to represent the aircraft's specific features: the wingtip pods (a camera on the right wing and a missile seeker on the left) and the radome on the underside of the fuselage, which houses the weather and navigation radar.
The aircraft parts are molded in white.
