Why Choose GSI Creos Surfacer?

GSI Creos, also known as Mr. Hobby, has engineered these surfacers with precise particle sizes - 1000 grade for general use, 500 grade for filling deeper imperfections, and 1200-1500 grades for final finishing. The Mr. Primer Surfacer 1000 combines priming and surface preparation in one step, while specialty products like the Mr. Finishing Surfacer 1500 Pink help identify surface imperfections before final painting.

Application Guidelines

Mr. Surfacer products are designed to be applied in thin, even coats over cleaned plastic, resin, or metal surfaces. The numbered grades indicate particle size - lower numbers like 500 fill larger imperfections, while higher numbers like 1200 and 1500 create ultra-smooth surfaces. Apply over a primer base or directly to bare plastic, allow proper drying time, then sand lightly if needed before applying your final paint layers. Both lacquer-based spray formulations and aqueous brush-on versions are available to suit your preferred application method and workspace requirements.
