Mission Models Paint

Why Choose Mission Models Paint?

Mission Models Paint is engineered with a revolutionary water-based acrylic formula that combines the best qualities of lacquer and acrylic paints. The unique formulation provides lacquer-like smoothness and self-leveling properties while maintaining the safety and ease of cleanup associated with water-based acrylics. Each 1 oz. bottle delivers exceptional coverage, vibrant color saturation, and a durable finish that adheres beautifully to plastic, resin, and metal surfaces.

Superior Performance for Professional Results

These premium paints are designed for both brush painting and airbrushing applications, offering optimal flow characteristics and minimal tip dry. The thin consistency allows for excellent detail work while building up smooth, even coats without obscuring fine surface details. Mission Models paints dry to a semi-gloss finish that can be easily modified with clear coats, and the colors are formulated to be intermixable for creating custom shades.

Historically Accurate Military Modeling Colors

Mission Models Paint specializes in authentic military colors researched from historical references, museum pieces, and original paint chips. The RAL and Federal Standard color matches ensure period-accurate finishes for WWII German armor, US military vehicles, and equipment across all theaters of operation. Whether you're building Panzer tanks, Sherman tanks, aircraft, or military vehicles, these paints deliver museum-quality authenticity.

Application Tips for Best Results

Mission Models paints are ready to use straight from the bottle for airbrushing at 15-20 PSI, or can be thinned further with Mission Models Thinner for specific applications. For brush painting, use the paint as-is or thin slightly for smoother flow. Always shake bottles thoroughly before use to ensure proper pigment distribution. Apply thin coats and allow each layer to dry before adding additional coats for best coverage and finish. The paints clean up easily with water or Mission Models Thinner. For optimal adhesion, apply over properly prepared and primed surfaces. The semi-gloss finish can be modified with Mission Models clear coats to achieve matte, satin, or gloss finishes as desired.
