HMS Ithuriel was an I-class destroyer laid down in 1939 for the Turkish Navy, but purchased by the Royal Navy while still under construction. She was launched in December 1940 and commissioned in May 1942. During the World War II HMS Ithuriel took part in Operations Harpoon and Pedestal, escorting the convoys to Malta in summer 1942. Ithuriel was attacked by German aircraft and damaged beyond repair in November 1942.
