About the 251/17 w/Kwk38:

The German Sd.Kfz. 251 series of half-tracks was extremely successful, and it spawned a whole range of specialist variants. One of these was the 251/17, a half-track mounting a 2 cm KwK38 cannon. A mounting on the Ausf. D chassis allowed the single-barreled gun to be fitted without altering the superstructure, and on later versions, the cannon was placed in a small armored turret mounted on a pedestal.
