The Hurricane Mk IIc represented the pinnacle of Hurricane armament development, replacing the twelve .303 machine guns of the Mk IIb with four powerful 20mm Hispano Mk II cannons. The cannon-armed Hurricane excelled in the fighter-bomber role, particularly during operations in North Africa, the Mediterranean, and the Far East.
