About the Seversky P-35

The Seversky P-35 was one of the first single-seat fighter aircraft with an all-metal construction and retractable landing gear to enter service with the U.S. Army Air Corps. Introduced in the late 1930s, the P-35 represented a significant advancement in American fighter design and served as the foundation for the later Republic P-47 Thunderbolt. The P-35 featured colorful pre-war markings and saw limited combat service in the early days of World War II with both American and export operators.
